Arnt we expecting a huge bump when the physical release comes out in October though? My guess is it charts again with 10-15k

 

All of this is news to me. Now I want one!

 

That's an impressive drop off, but it's not really that shocking nor is it anything to be upset about it. Us Brand New fans can ride that #1 high forever.

 

I've always wondered how well doing tv performances helps boost album sales. Will it hurt SyFy sales if Brand New doesn't do The Tonight Show?

 

I'd expect a good physical boost in October for sure. All pre-orders basically. Not sure how many or where it will end up. Will depend on what else come out that week.

 

What day does it come out physically?

 

Without me knowing the exact week it drops, this is Brand New's current competition for the physical release along with albums like Damn by Kendrick who still chart high every week. Seems like they could chart high again.

A similar thing happened when Smash Mouth released their seminal sophomore album Astro Lounge which contained the #1 hit song "All Star" where it fell the week after but then it quickly rose back up once people realized they had a bonafide classic on their hands.

Obviously this can't compete with that album but still I hope it does well I still haven't listened to it

 

I'm sorry but their debut classic Fush Yu Mang contained the #1 (Adult Top 40) monster hit "Walkin' on the Sun" and introduced the culture to the world of Smash Mouth. For that alone it will always be their best album.

 

How and Why Has "Mr Brightside" Never Left the UK Charts?

So if I'm assuming that none of the vinyl or CD pre orders have counted for this LP I can imagine a big jump back up the charts next month.

 

5k limited 5k deluxe hardback right? So that's 10k right there and then what maybe a couple thousand CDs and standard vinyl?

Speaking of which, I wonder how close TDAG is to going gold. I would think it's gotta be close.

 

13 year gap... I was joking a bit with my post, but at the same time I don't believe that Deja-era Brand New's sales are an accurate reading on how many fans the band has today.

 

If it's within 10 copies I'll buy the last ten myself.
