I just finally finished Westworld. What a fucking chore the last half of that season is. It is like 70% exposition. They explain every single thing that's happening and half the time the explanation takes longer than the actual thing. What ever happened to "show don't tell" goddammit. Each episode in the back half felt twice it's actual length.

 

I suck at watching tv. The only things I watch each week are Snapped, baseball games, football games and AHS:Cult starts this week.

 

THANK YOU. One of my friends and I do not see eye to eye on this and i feel validated.

 

I tell you one thing that chapped my ass was I know no one probably watched Glades but we saw the main character get shot in an episode AND THEY CANCELLED IT that episode AND WE NEVER FOUND OUT WHO SHOT HIM.

 

So this girl I haven't really talked to in like 5 months hit me up today. She's offering to fly me out to SF, go to a brand new show with her, and then fly me back home. It's a bit strange. like obviously I'd like to go see BN but I'm not really sure what she's expecting out of this just seems like a lot of trouble. weiiiird.

 

Like, there's a lot of good stuff going on, but it doesn't seem to think I'm capable of understanding ANY of it lol. It's like the end of a Scooby Doo episode where Fred and the dumb fucking villain of the week go over every trick and it's motivation and then the guy goes "I woulda gotten away with it too", but with Anthony Hopkins instead

 

Hour long tv is not a format I often enjoy

 

Ten Things I Hate About You ended on a cliffhanger, I think that's the only show that happened to me that I can think of

 

Heroes ended on the ultimate existential cliffhanger of "why the fuck am I still watching this"

 

same for the most part, Shameless flies by so it's one of the few I like, I also usually don't do dramatic tv shows

 

Firefly wasn't exactly a cliffhanger but I felt they didn't wrap up the story.

 

I tend to wait for a season of a show to end and then binge it after, so they can be 4 hour long eps for all I care, that's just less times I have to deal with the opening credits

 

I was bummed bastard executioner got cancelled after 1 season.
