Wait..... people actually think this feels it's run time? I disagree. Once I'm up to like No Control I'm always kind of surprised it's almost over.

Only time I feel it's run time is when I'm limited for time or I'm trying to get in one last listen before bed.

 

Yeah, idk, the first couple times I listened to it maybe it did feel too long. But I enjoyed it then still bc it was new and it's length felt more like a journey than a burden. I absolutely don't feel that way anymore, being familiar with the album, and sometimes even find myself nearing the end of the record being surprised that it's almost over... I even occasionally find myself wishing there was another song or two here lol.

 

That stretch from Lit Me Up all the way to Batter Up is my favorite part.

 

My issue isn't length, but width and shape. It can be pretty embarrassing. Wait, what are we talking about?

The ones that still hit me the most and hardest emotionally are Waste, Same Logic, In The Water and Batter Up. This album is still so good and I can't wait to listen to it today.

I have apple tv and this album kind of fucked up when i purchased it, now it's not loaded into it which sucks. Normally i wouldnt want to play through my tv but with this record i do. I should be able to get it to work with airplay. But still its quite lame that the albums i purchased before SF and after SF are all on there and downloaded everywhere on my devices properly but the one album i really wanted no issues with it, is still the one that isn't fully fixed everywhere :(

I have no issues with the length. It flies by for me. Only time I notice length is when I have friends in the car who are not into it at all and I keep trying to tell them one more song but then I can't actually stop.

 

Man, I am definitely hungover. I read this post first thing when I woke up and thought was hypothetical and that "our baby boy" was referring to an imaginary child that this thread had and we had to decide what "our" kids first listening experience should be. And then I thought you got weirdly specific by giving it a name. I need to go back to sleep. Congrats on your new child!

Yeah I really don't like stopping this album halfway through, and picking it up later where I left off. It makes me wish my commute was a half hour longer. Haha

 

I can't remember the last time I was psyched on a music release like this.

 

I would love a rendition of Can't Get It Out a la Could Never Be Heaven. The republic of wolves guy did it well but i would love to hear Jesse's version. I feel like that song could really benefit from a stripped down approach and be even more emotional. I bet there aren't any but it would be so cool if there was some songs out there for Science Fiction like the Daisy Sessions ones.

 

Me too. Like i legit fell in love with it and can't get enough of it.

 

Close Encounters of the third kind is playing here for its 40th anniversary really tempted to go see it in theaters (thanks to Sfi Fi) and I just might go since it's a rainy day here. Makes me wish my chorus friends lived closer to me, we could of all went together lol

 

I would so be there! I love that movie so much. One of my favorite Spielberg movies for sure
