You don't hear Deja Entendu all over Can't Get It Out? It's the first thing I thought of when I heard that song. Even now it still reminds me of that record.

I wouldn't call it whiney but if that's what people consider the sound of Deja Entendu, I can see why they'd say it.

I definitely don't agree with Geoff but I can see where he's coming from

Jesse's vocal performance on that song has more nasal imo (I love it tho) which can come off whiney

Heard Can't Get It Out on Alt Nation today. Dude was raving about SF before he played it. So sweet!

I would imagine they would have to give her some more redeemable qualities as well. She's probably not launching snot rockets at anyone

Can't Get It Out sounds like a better version of the Deja sound, definitely

Also finally finished season 2 of Master of None what a great show but that ending was a little frustrating but still satisfying enough. Don't want to spoil it for anyone so I won't talk about it here. Anyways and As Tall As Lions is a great and underrated band. Cheers y'all

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

What makes it even more frustrating is Aziz said he has no idea whether or not a 3rd season will be made.

The first 4 songs or so are great on this especially the first song and then I just get bored.

You get board after the first 4 songs? So you don't like the stretch of Same Logic - Desert? That's got to be the band's strongest stretch ever IMO

I think I remember seeing that he said it won't be anytime soon so makes sense if he's not sure what it would be about. But to be honest i'm fine with that, I mean even season 2 wasn't pumped out super quickly and turned out I would say being even better than season 1. Episode 9 because of the way it was shot felt like a movie which is what he was going for and I didn't want it to end. It was so good. But yeah that ending tho. Guess i should go in the Master of None thread if theres even one on here to talk about it

I don't understand liking the first 4 tracks and being bored after. I mean you said you like the first track especially doesn't that draw you in and want to hear the whole album. Certainly does for me but to each their own.

In the Water is still incredible and 451 what a banger eh

Same logic is okay but I get bored by most of the back half of the album. I think Lit Me Up might be one of their best songs ever though.

My office manager ran out to my car as I was leaving yesterday and I had Could never be Heaven playing. After asking me a work related question she said "You know, I don't go to church as often as I should, but I love Christian Rock. This is really pretty. What station is this?"
    I had a good chuckle

Since the regular Brand New thread is in the middle of a thing that I won't interrupt with this, I'll put the following opinions here: After listening to the 2006 demos properly (never heard them until recently)

    - I wish"1996" had been properly released in some standalone single form. One of the catchiest songs they've ever written for sure

    - I'm glad some of the songs were reworked for Devil and God, but "Nobody Moves" not being one of them is just criminal.

I made it through like 5 pages before getting the urge to quote someone and start something. I'm proud of myself.

I respect this opinion but I'd argue that almost everything on Deja is better than CGIO. I love Can't Get It Out but compared to most of their discog it's one of the few songs on Science Fiction that doesn't stick out when you think of BN's best.
