I'm v excited to be seeing IT next weekend.

 

Dunkirk one of my other favorites this year. Did round three on it yesterday on a whim, giving me the confidence to call it better than Inception. Sorry you didn't dig it, James. It happens though, don't worry

Still very little interest in seeing Dunkirk

 

It was the most vapid movie I've seen all year.

I wanted to like it. I thought the most interesting part was in the first ten minutes when they're on land and running away from those soldiers and then it went downhill from there imo

 

I haven't seen Inception either

But Interstellar was not great

 

I posted my full opinion of Dunkirk in the "unpopular entertainment thread" when it first came out. Didn't wanna deal with the barrage of "what!?!?!?!" In the official thread.

 

Interstellar's my least favorite Nolan movie (haven't seen Following), but I've only seen it once in theaters, and other who've seen it multiple times say it gets better on rewatch. As disappointing as it was for me, it was a hell of an IMAX experience

 

Interstellar rocked my world, but I only saw it... three months ago? Idk I watched Arrival and that sent me on a sci-fi kick.

God, Arrival was so fucking great

Arrival was great

To be fair I have been meaning to give Interstellar a rewatch

 

Arrival combined aliens and grammar so you KNOW I was all about that shit.

Interstellar was amazing in IMAX, but didn't hold up that well. And then I watched it recently and it was pretty good.


Inception is beautiful and very great.

 

I thought Interstellar was pretty silly. I was on board for most of it and then Anne Hathaway started talking about love and I thought to myself, "Welp. That was dumb but hopefully they'll let that go and won't go back to that" but then that ended up being like the point of the movie.

I sadly haven't seen many movies this year. The best movie I've seen so far was A Ghost Story but I need to see a lot more.

I'll be happy if this year never shows me a movie worse than (or even a fraction as bad as) fucking Fist Fight

 

Anne Hathaway is a treasure though
