Lately I've been connecting really hard with Coca Cola, especially the live videos out there.

 

It took me years to finally notice Aloc-Acoc was Coca-Cola

One of the dumbest moments of my life

 

As songs both good. Coca Cola woulda fit on the album better tho.

 

Yea I agree, but it's pretty remarkable that they can have two songs that are the same with different lyrics and somehow they both carry a very unique identity to me

 

If I heard both songs at a show I don't even know if I would be mad, as long as they did brothers full band and Coca Cola Jesse solo

 

I'll pick Brothers, I think the lyrics are better and somehow even though the songs are very similar I prefer the guitar and Jesse's vocals in Brothers.

 

Yeah as much as like Brothers and Good Man, there is just no place for them on TDAG

 

Battalions or Archers?

 

This might be a hipster opinion knowING how much this thread loves the Demos, but I like Archers way better. Not even a race

But Archers is one of my favorite Brand NEW songs ever.

Just when TDAG is coming to a close Archers gives you that kick and makes your face want to exploded from the epicness

 

They are so different they share a chorus melody and that's pretty much it. I definitely prefer archers, but battalions could have been great if they had fully realized it.

Was one of my favorites for a while. It was like the most "Brand New" sounding song ever, like that's what I'd have people listen to to get an idea about them.

 

Agreed. That song always gets me pumped up.

 

Yeah, I don't have any real connection to the song but I always feel a connection to the song for some reason.

I think it's just the way Jesse is telling the story honestly.

 

Archers.

"Who do you carry the torch for, my young man? do you believe in anything?" still sums up most of the people in my life currently; the line hits hard, and summarizes our collective confusion with identity quite well.

 

My YFW vinyl is expected to arrive September 5th. My Deja Entendu Vinyl is expected to arrive September 7th.

Next week is about to be lit!

 

God I love listening to the 3 demos reworked. I'm so glad they released that even though they didn't have to
