ok, so here's a question. i've read elsewhere that everyone who ordered the limited edition vinyl was sent a CD. i ordered it, but never got a CD. should i feel left out, or was it only for a select group that i'm not a part of?

 

also the more i think about it the more i'm realizing the reason brand new is getting critical hype in the year 2017 is because all the writers now that are "tastemakers" were big fans of deja in 2003 and some of them were really into TDAG and now they're remembering they liked brand new and they think this album is sick even though they've barely thought about the band in a decade

I 100% ordered the limited vinyl and did not receive a CD. I think it was stated by many that it was completely random.

 

they haven't talked about "The Girl" since deja, at all.

I still have no idea why the limited vinyl is $18 more than the one they posted a few days later. It's gotta be more than a color variant, right? I'm not getting the one-track CD, I'd assume.

 

I think you’re definitely on to something. They feel like they grew out of the band and didn’t bother to realize that the band was also growing with them.

In their defense, it’s not a progression that most bands make.

 

She also refers to XXXTentacion as X when the only rapper who can rightfully be called X is Xzibit.

 

Think people just call him X because they don't know how the fuck to say or spell that stupid ass name
