Sonically, Creeper should be on a bill with bands like Bayside, Alkaline Trio, etc. Silverstein is more a part of that "rise-core" scene now which has been working well for them but I'm not sure it's a great fit for Creeper.

That being said, no newer bands should bank on converting the late 20, early 30s fans that would be at a Bayside/Senses Fail show. Makes more sense to just try and play the biggest shows they can and convert as many new, younger fans as possible.

True I guess I'm just being selfish and would like to not be surrounded by pop punk bros/kids when I go see them lol

I've already seen quite a few people in their 30s at Creeper shows. Unlike most newer bands I think they could actually benefit from touring with older bands.

Not sure where else to post this, but I know there are a lot of WNY people on here. Waiting Room in Buffalo, NY has shut down and all of their shows are moved to various venues. RIP.

Yeah fair, I just don't think it's a viable long-term strategy. The 30 year olds at shows aren't going to help a band like that get bigger unfortunately. They're going to have to get the younger fans listening to Neck Deep, Waterparks, etc. on board to get to the next level.

Just went there for the first time last month to see The Flatliners. Cool venue that's sad that it's done

Tour needs to get announced already. It's been getting teased for about a month now.

Yeah I get what you're saying, I still don't think they benefit from touring with Waterparks though lol.

Would love for that to be a tour over here, but knowing Parkway's history with U.S. touring I doubt it.

    The Real Dirty Dan.

They only did a handful of North American dates this year; could be planning something big (like a 10 year tour for Horizons).

Pretty sure Senses Fail is dropping a new album in the near future. Anyone know if they plan on doing a late fall/winter tour?

I'm pretty sure that's been their MO for the last couple years. Last year I think all they did were those shows around some festivals with ADTR and State Champs. The last full U.S. tour I remember them doing was the one with Miss May I, Thy Art Is Murder, and In Hearts Wake at the end of 2015.

Wow thanks for recommending Creeper, listened to two songs and they seem up my alley. Been looking for a new band in the vain of MCR/AFI/Alkaline Trio for a while and they seem promising. I really liked Set It Off's first album because in was this type of sound but they became shit fast

Agreed about SIO, I loved that band dearly from their first EP and first record up until they started to try real hard to sound like new FOB.

lol I remember when the only thing set it off had was a 15 second preview of their first song on purevolume because the singer was hyped from his all time low covers

damn that band totally ripped ATL off until they found something else to rip off

I still jam the fuck out of Introduction to Outselling a Salesman. Horrible Kids and Cinematics had a few good songs each, but I haven't liked anything they've put out lately.

  25. cricketandclover

    Things have changed.

Set It Off went from ripping off ATL to ripping off MCR to ripping off FOB. Quite the career.
