Yes, still better than TDAG! More consistent in my opinion.

That's why you do it in its own thread. The game has a thread itself, it works well and doesn't deter from the actual threads in my experiences on other forums.

    Yes

I'm finally listening to the new War on Drugs record. Also still need to spin the new PVRIS and Turnover records. Trying to introduce more albums in the rotation with SF

I tried the turnover record but didn't make it through. I listened to it a lot when it leaked but it isn't doing much for me in the wake of science fiction. I'm sure I'll come back to it at some point I did really like it

More people like The Big Bang Theory than Mad Men, but that doesn't make the former the better show.

    Ah, that makes more sense.

But I think they were referring to still-active fans of the band, not those who are like "oh yeah, YFW was my shit back in middle/high school! That band is still around?"

True I thought about that one actually. Is it worth it? I'm still on the fence about giving it a shot right now. Only because between SF 61 mins War on Drugs 66 mins and a band called Gang of Youths 77 mins each one of those records is over an hour so its tough to find the time.

if you haven't noticed by the fact the blink thread is the most popular thread on this site (well until this brand new album), people hold onto their early loves, hahaha

You should give the new War on Drugs record a shot

My early faves are Pain and Thinking of a place

    Edit: And now In Chains

    all we have is time

I saw an Instagram comment the other day that said "I don't really ever expect the best of them since YFW."

Like what? YFW shouldn't even be graded on the same scale as the following albums. That being said, I personally prefer YFW to Daisy... but YFW is practically a different band. I think I favor it for nostalgic reasons-- but to say it's their best work?

Absolutely it's worth it! Such a good record. I expected to like it but I was surprised how much I actually did.

The music of YFW isn't comparable because it serves a different purpose than the rest of their catalogue.

We really going to compare an album that came out 2 weeks ago to an album that's 11 years old huh
