the first o'brother show i ever saw was one of the sets i hold closest to my heart. dear hunter color spectrum tour, with deas vail and o'brother. predates garden window by like a year, they mostly only played songs from the death of day. each band had several moments that stopped me in my tracks, also one of the best crowds i've ever seen at a show. knew very little of o'brother at the time but that was one of the heaviest sets i've ever seen. band always destroys it live

 

garden window is still their best imo, didn't like disillusion at all and the new one didn't have much pulling me back to it

 

True. They played in Montreal this year opening for Biffy Clyro wanted to go but couldnt make it work. I will def see them for sure. Not if but when at this point.

 

first time i saw them was i think on an act III tour with felix culpa and kay kay and his weathered underground (who were terrible). i was there for culpa obv

 

You're in for a treat. Death of Day EP, Garden Window and Endless Light are all fantastic.

 

garden window > endless light > disillusion, all are fantastic.

yeah and i guess that's the other part of it too, the wonder years one has been going so long that i trained my mind not to open it.... but now i have no way of knowing when actual conversation happens in the thread, or who knows... tour/new music announcements

 

That's the show I saw them at and they were incredible. Can't wait to catch them again.

 

I saw O' Brother live opening for Manchester Orchestra. They only had Death of Day out at the time, so I'd love to see the rest of their stuff

 

Could All Get Out be the openers maybe? I love speculating and can't wait to find out who it will be!

 

All Get Out would connect sooooo well with BN fans. At least, the ones not so into YFW.

 

They have never opened for BN I believe so it seems like it should happen. The AGO release I go back to the most is Movement. Love that EP.

i'm still hoping the opener isn't a stereotypical brand new opener, switch it up a bit from the same little scene of bands

 

all the bands i was thinking are touring it seems. touche, hotelier, pianos, sorority noise, foxing, julien, tigers jaw

 

front bottoms? didnt they just put out a new song?

I hope its a new band that is not well knows like when I saw BN for the first time openers were Anathello and Colour Revolt. CR blew me away and I've loved them ever since. Bring back COLOUR REVOLT!

 

They're doing a headliner in October.
