Just watched the transfiguration. Great movie, heart breaking. I really enjoyed it.

 

The House of the Devil

 

Holy shit Mean Creek I totally forgot about that movie. Loved it

 

The Transfiguration was really, really, really great. Finished it a couple hours ago and I'm still thinking about it.

 

I'm watching The Devil's Candy now. Not bad so far although the dialog is a little cringy and very poserish

 

Let me know what you think once you're finished. I still haven't watched it, but the 92% on RT peaked my interest enough to download it (although I know that's not exactly an accurate indicator of how good it is).

 

I talked to a guy who likes a lot of gory, really low-budget stuff, and he surprised me and said The Transfiguration was his favourite horror film so far this year

It's definitely special and different from anything I've seen this year. The only comparable film that comes to mind is Let Me In, and that's only in tone. Funny considering it's referenced in the film

Let the Right One In is one of my ten favourite films, so it makes sense that I loved The Transfiguration so much

 

I really don't know how it was so well-received. I liked it, but it's nothing special.

Ethan Embry is awesome though.

 

What a shit year. Tobe Hooper passed :( all the greats are passing. Someone better start protecting Carpenter before the reaper finds him too.

FUCK i saw a post about him at the top of r/criterion but they didn't say he had died. that was my gut suspicion but i thought it must not be true, goddamn. Romero, Craven, Hooper... it's too much

 

Looks like I'm watching TCM tonight.

It was alright. I hadn't heard much about it and if it got that kind of response that's surprising

 

I can't wait for this. S1 was slow, but effective and creepy. This looks a lot different.

 

This looks pretty damn good.

I was pleasantly surprised with S1 and what they were able to do with the source material, considering how short the Candle Cove creepypasta is.

 

Texas Chainsaw is probably top 5 most influential horror flicks, not to mention top 5 greatest

 

I've seen the sixth sense a lot of times and I still get super emotional every time the dad watches that tape. Also not horror but paying it forward also makes me cry so screw u Haley Joel osment

 

Watching Eyes of my Mother and its very beautiful and surreal
