It means they rotate. We play a midfield three with a Coutinho/Lallana type attacking mid, but Lallana's looking like he's going to miss the first half of the season. Lemar can also spell our wingers. Coutinho leaves next summer when Keita comes in.

My street hasn't even had water rise to curb level. And I'm in the heart of the city, half a mile from downtown and a quarter mile from the main bayou, which has essentially turned into a lake.

It's surreal. The entire city around me is underwater. Like I'm "trapped" in the sense that I can't leave my immediate area without running into high water....but I've been extremely fortunate to be in this bizarre safe zone.

So Oxlade Chamberlain has turned down Chelsea in hopes to sign for Liverpool. Danny Drinkwater is handing in a transfer request and Chelsea just had a bid for Ross Barkley turned down.

 

What is even happening? I feel like the likes of Barkley and Drinkwater might only be getting looked at to satisfy the home grown rules.

 

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner! That must be it, surely? I mean, Barkley still has a lot of potential, so I could see why he might have attraction. But Drinkwater definitely. Chelsea have been quoted like £40 million for him. They could go to the continent and get a similar quality player for half that price. I think it also has something to do with having played next to Kante before?

 

I might be proved massively wrong, but I can't see how Drinkwater or Barkley particularly improve Chelsea.

 

Drinwatef is purely for depth, from my understanding. In that they play 2 in the middle, and currently only have 3 on their books. He would be going to be 4th choice. Sure he wouldn't get many games, but the chance to win medals and one last payday.

Barkley is a strange one. He wants a move to a team better than Everton, but doesn't seem to realise that he wouldn't make the matchday squad for the majority of them. I don't see how he fits into Chelsea's system either, unless they play him in a sort of Fabregas role against weaker teams?

Having said that, and I've said it here before too, I'd probably take him at United for what Chelsea just bid, £25 million. Don't get much for that price in this market these days, and he'd be a decent option through the middle instead of Mhicki. If he lives up to potential, it's a steal. Otherwise, nice depth considering we're competing in 4 competitions this year.

I also made my transfers for fantasy early so now I'm going to suffer with injuries to my team.

On another note, Ox can get fucked. Send him to the reserves if he hasn't left by Friday. You either want to be here or you fuck off. Sell Sanchez to PSG in a straight swap for Draxler. Get rid of Mustafi since he wants out and buy ANY good holding midfielder.

Anyone who isn't trying 100% doesn't deserve to play. Ramsey needs to be further forward as he has no defensive discipline. At this point I'd give Coquelin another go, he's rubbish but he's all we have.

Oxlade-Chamberlain apparently turning down Chelsea because he wants to play CM and they couldn't/wouldn't guarantee him that. What a fucking attitude - symptomatic of Arsenal players as a whole; wanting everything fucking guaranteed without any work.
