Yeah this is how i feel honestly. i dont really care about YFW or Deja.

 

I would love for them to play 2 hours. That would be my dream. Play SF, play the fan favorites from the first four albums

Can't leave out Deja favorites! As someone who has only seen them live once I would be so sad if they played 0 songs from Deja. I'm one who fully believes artists should play a wide variety from all their albums. And as band who only has 5 albums, that's more than possible.

 

My issue with quiet things live is they can't hit the notes in the chorus anymore lol, so it's just screaming, I don't blame them it goes insanely high.

 

They will probably top Brand New's feat of "nothing for 8 years and then boom #1 album", but they've always been a bigger band and already have #1 albums so i guess it's not as spectacular

 

Haven't listened to them in a decade. Probably wouldn't pay much attention if they did anything new, but I've got some good memories attached to Toxicity.

 

Never cared for Quiet Things live. I've always felt like Jesse and Vin should trade off lines in the chorus. Instead, Jesse just rushes through it and it loses a lot of it's charm.

 

id be fine with only songs from Daisy, TDAG, SF, and FOYD. throw in Mene and Okay I Believe You

 

Actually last time I saw them they traded off on it but neither of them can get up there live ha, I bet Jesse can but not in the middle of a set.

 

Agreed. I've seen deja in full at Edinburgh so not too fussed if they play songs off of deja or not. Not going to complain if they do though. It's one of my favourite albums of theirs, also getting a brand new tattoo at some point soonish. Deja cover on my thigh I think, would love to get science fiction cover tattooed but because it's a photo, I'm not convinced it would look great as a tattoo. Happy to be proved wrong though. Haha

 

They were the band that got me into modern rock music actually....listened to mostly rap as a preteen/teen and then I heard Chop Suey! and then Toxicity and my friend was already into them so he told me to get the album.

Somehow I got from them to Alkaline Trio to emo/pop punk/etc. I think it was because I started having feelings and needed some songs about feelings instead of angry politics lol....so i asked the same friend that liked SOAD and he gave me a few Alk3 songs...and now here I am.

I liked the follow ups to Toxicity...weren't as good as Toxicity, but both albums had solid songs on them. I'm more aligned with them politically now than I was back then, so I imagine a new album from them coming out in the age of Trump would get a lot of spins from me

 

I wouldn't mind hearing the song daisy in a set

yeah I mean, id be cool with just a post Deja set... But like Deja really did get me into music and it's a really special album for me in that sense. So when I see brand new I wouldn't mind seeing 1 or 2 Deja songs as long as it isn't Sic Transit

 

Yea, I won't be upset either way. If I hear mix tape or something usually it's special bc the crowd sings so hard

 

If I have to get some YFW I'd want No Seatbelt or Logan. And I do think Soco is a special song live

 

Especially the second half up the octave in soco

 

I've seen Soco live a couple times and it's hard not to get emotional during it based on my history with the band, and just singing those words with Jesse and 1500 other people really punches me in the emotions lol

 

I saw it live on Valentine's Day. Haha

 

But you can't get rid of Sic Transit :(

Logan is my second favorite from YFW so you sir have good taste.

I'd love Jude Law and Logan personally

 

Honestly would be fine with them not playing Sic Transit. That's the only song they play every show that I feel like they don't need to play

 

I've seen sic transit so many times and while i do like the song when I havnt heard it in a while I def could go without it.

 

Worst song on the album!
