Omg @ people asking to sit on your shoulders. I have to look at the gap between peoples shoulders to see so I'll have a small window and then someone will slightly move and the gap closes so I have to find another gap lol. The last few shows I've gotten pretty close up so it wasn't an issue but I have def been to shows where I can't see a thing. My most bitterest was when Jim Adkins ran down the length of the barrier separating the two sections and I was super close to that barrier but i couldn't see him so I didn't know he did it until he was gone already and I didn't get my high five.

I cannot fathom asking a person I've never met if I could sit on their shoulders at a concert.

It's interesting how much flack Taylor Swift gets for writing songs about real people when every scene band circa 2003 did the exact same thing and those people don't even get to tell their side of the story

I don't care if she writes songs about people. But this latest one was real bad.

I've always thought the stigma Taylor got for writing about relationships was unfair. Everyone does it.

The latest song is bad though. I'd honestly rather another breakup or heartbreak song than a petty attempt at tongue in cheek self-awareness that simultaneously attempts to embrace the image so many have of her while also shirking any responsibility for that image in totality.

Don't care enough about her to have an opinion. i think I only songs I've heard from her in years was from the Ryan Adam's 1989 record.

I don't want to bring anything back. I'm not interested to hear whatever boring genre she's playing this year.

im trying to give taylor the benefit of the doubt with her new album since all of her albums have some pretty bad tracks, but wow this new one is embarrassing

Yeah she hasn't put out an album without at least a few bad songs but she also hasn't put out an album without at least a few songs I love.

Not specific to just Taylor but I'll never get why people don't want artists to experiment, I'd rather someone experiment and fail then just make the same song over and over again

id rather someone experiment and make a good song than experiment and make a bad song

experimentation is fine and desirable but at the end it's still on the artist to know when their experimentation has yielded something interesting or something god-awful and i don't think them taking risks is a valid defense for releasing something that's no good or spares them at all from any criticism
