Most played song on spotify in a 24 hour period, ever.

 

I just can't get behind this song

 

i was just thinking wow this song is missing power chords

Sounds like a flop. Heh.

 

there was zero percent chance the song was going to flop regardless of the quality

 

i mean, literal farts for 5 minutes probably would have flopped, but otherwise you're mostly right

this must not be a Taylor reference, as the single is only 3:30 long

 

seemed like it went on forever!

 

The end section with all the past era video Taylors is a stroke of genius. So many small moments of shade thrown in that video.

 

Oh man, the end part.

 

All my friends were hating on her before the video started and after it was over they were silent.
So over the top and perfect!

 

The video is dope loved the ending

 

The video is a lot of aesthetics and even specific imagery that a lot of other pop stars have done before. I think Miley Cyrus was in a birdcage in the Can't be Tamed video and I seem to remember Britney in a cage too, though that might have been during the circus aesthetic around that album. I get what it's going for and I guess it works thematically, I just wish it felt like there were a stronger point she was making than "I've changed". I'm still not sure what she changed into or what caused it beyond the vague mentions and imagery about media and references to her feuds. In the end I guess it's a music video and who even cares about music videos in 2017 unless they're really ambitious or powerful, like Beyonce's visual albums or Kendrick's Alright.

 

Read an interesting theory abt the second verse possibly being abt her assault trial (perfect crime, you said the gun was mine, etc).

The video is so over the top, makes me wonder if this is more tongue in cheek (a la blank space) than I thought before?

 

Brilliant ending.

 

Would think this is right considering there is only a one dollar bill in that section where she's lying in the bath or whatever it is. Signifying the one dollar she won at court?

 

OK yeah after watching that video the song is 100% tongue in cheek

 

Loved the video, especially the end. This definitely makes it seem like she knows how dramatic she is and it's not serious.

 

Damn, great video. Doesn't change how I feel about that song but at least it's clear she's having a ton of fun with all of this

 

hope its just an awful coincidence that this album is coming out on the 10th anniversary of the death of Donda West but i doubt swift would do anything that malicious.

the song is ok but maybe itll grow with time. i actually kinda like the artwork and visuals for this album
