Good s/o to Phosphorescent

 

Had definitely heard of Phosphorescent in the past but didn't give them a listen until reading that piece. Holy shit "Song for Zula" is a great song...Gonna give that whole album a play tonight

 

Incredible album. But that song specifically is next level song writing. I'd probably throw it in my top 10-15 tracks of the decade so far.

That record is probably top ten of the decade for me still. So good. "Song for Zula" is the highlight for sure though.

There has never been even Phosphorescent talk on these forums. Matt is one of the generations best songwriters.

If you like Muchacho PLEASE listen to the rest of his work.

Here's To Taking It Easy is a masterpiece in its own right.

Pride is almost just as good. "My Dove, My Lamb" is one of the best songs ever written.

Okay after just one listen, I definitely know I like this record, but it is a whole lot to try to process at once. I remember it took me about a dozen listens to Lost in the Dream to feel like I had a grasp on that album.

"Thinking of a Place" is still probably the best song I've heard all year.

 

This was a pleasant first listen. I think it's gonna take a while to really sink into it

 

This is so damn good. Only listened once so far, but I think I can say it's at least as good as Lost in the Dream, which is a staggering feat.

"Nothing to Find" is the oneeeeeeeee fuck

 

Damn, hard to recall another album in recent memory where every single song is just a fucking home run. I'm more in awe of this thing the more I listen to it.

 

I've been bouncing around the city looking for this and no where has it.

 

very glad I didn't really listen to any of the pre-release songs aside from "Thinking of a Place" maybe once
