I get that and agree 100%. if anything having all of the excitement around the NES/SNES classics have made me even more interested in going back and revisiting a lot of the classics and even playing stuff that I've missed. I've also been wanting to build something like this for a while (I like tinkering) and I'm finally just gonna do it and be done with it.

 

Yeah it also made me want to go back. I almost went down the Pie road but I'm probably getting a new MacBook soon so I'll just hook it up to the TV and play the games through OpenEmu with a WiiU Pro Controller

 

this is factually wrong, subjectivity is of no relevance here.

 

I really wish nba playgrounds was supported more. I swear I think the switch is like 2 patches behind.

I even unlocked tournaments that aren't even available on the switch version. I was confused.

decent update from Chucklefish. I have a coworker is so bummed about all the Pocket Rumble delays, like seriously sad

 

3D Outrun is on sale for like 2€ on 3DS right now. It's a cool game and this is a great version.

 

sure wish that secret of mana remake was coming to switch...

 

Probably been in development for too long. Also the original will probably still be better, haha.

i managed to get my order in and even have a screenshot of the order confirmation screen but its not showing up on my orders page and have not received an email about it. it better have gone through

edit: it's showing up now, so hyped. buying that was such an adrenaline rush

 

On the Beastcast they jokingly say that Nintendo limits these mini consoles because they're pissed off that people did not buy a WiiU. That's of course absurd but it would be so funny.

I had the Walmart in my cart and was filling out payment info and by the end of the transaction it was gone which is bullshit!!

 

They talk about Mario Rabbits on the new Waypoint Podcast and they love it. They also say it's pretty deep and layered.

 

Starting to get really, really excited for Mario + Rabbids. Next week is pretty much gaming heaven for me - a fresh new game combining two things I adore (turn based strategy/XCOM and Mario...plus I don't mind the rabbids) and a new entry in one of my favorite ongoing series in Yakuza. Pumped.

 

Mario + Rabbids is a day 1 for me, loooove some turn based strategy. Also the animation and soundtrack seem pretty rad. Still hoping to hear some good news on length, difficulty, and replayability

 

Difficulty is my main concern right now (in that I don't think it'll be as hard as I would like). I don't expect it to be the hardest game in the world but something occasionally challenging would be welcome.

 

exactly. hopefully there will at least be an option to raise the difficulty

 

From what I heard it's "normal", with an easy mode toggle and optional challenges that make it harder
