Do you remember how disapointing and terrible the Animorphs tv series was?

 

It was SUCH a letdown!

 

Aw man book fairs... that takes me back. I remember in like 2nd grade there was a yoyo trick book at the book fair that came with a firestorm. Also there was a guy that gave a presentation on the book and yoyo tricks and it caused a yoyo frenzy at my school

 

all i remember is the way that guy itched his leg

 

the words "book fair" just took me WAY back. wow.

The tonal difference between watching Animorphs and Transformers could relate to seeing Superman Returns and then Zack Snyder's Superman. Or Ang Lee's Hulk vs the Edward Norton one.

 

I forgot how complex that series was, look at the chronological order of the books, so intense!

Why isn't the queen in a more obscure location. Some place where you can't just dramatically punch into...

 

I never had any money as a kid because I only had my mom so I would always just sit outside lol. Usually my teachers would buy me something due to extenuating circumstances (I was unplanned, my dad passed away shortly after I had my second birthday, being poor in a rural southern area) and I always cherished those memories. My 3rd and 4th grade teachers and their teaching assistants bought me stuff as an early birthday present. I've kept in contact with a couple of them due to them being so kind to me and my mom.

Sorry for the sappy story but yeah that's one of those memories I have from elementary school that I just adore

 

are we twins? my dad didnt pass away, but my parents divorced before i was 1, so this echoes a lot of how those days went for me too.

 

Schools still have book fairs.. they do them on the stage at my school which is my classroom, so I have to give lessons in the custodial closet... not fun, smells like gasoline

Damn, my condolences yeah those days could be real rough haha. The first "bully" I ever had was in 4th grade and he didn't understand why I got free lunches. He'd purposefully try to ruin my food or knock it off the table.

 

This is the most insane thread. We want someone to come back. Stories about bands. Top 15s. Animorphs and every once in a while science fiction shows up

 

We're not for everyone.

 

thats rough man, sorry it was like that. I got pulled out in 3rd grade for behavioral issues and was homeschooled until i went to college. somehow turned out normal.

 

This is basically just a general thread now, which is fine bc I'm sure brand new is discussed 50 percent of the time there anyway
