In Same Logic/Teeth, do you hear "ashamed of what you used to be", or "a shade of what you used to be"?

 

I thought it was the later when I first listened but it's listed as ashamed of what you used to be

I got drunk and listened to SF while making tacos. It wasn't half bad. SF might be my go to taco making album

 

That AV Club review attributes the "fish won't judge you" line in Same Logic to Jesse. That's obviously Vince right?

 

I find Can't Get It Out quite emotional once you really start picking up and learning the lyrics. I bet it's a pretty personal song for Jesse so when he says i have a positive message but sometimes i can't get it out...man that gives me the feels and I can relate to it so much

 

Tell that to my enlarged prostate

 

Lyrics are the best part of SF, I just can't really get into the music carrying them

Lol that chours is my favorite part of daisy. I gotta say I don't hear godsmack. The way jesse transitions from screaming to clean vocals is amazing. I love that sound. Sounds so desperate and emotional

Jakob Allen is fucking wasted right now

 

Took a magical evening stroll and listened to this in full tonight, 137 was my initial standout track but Out of Mana is slowly taking over. Starting to really love In the Water too, overall I had worries about how I'd feel about this album because I think I overplayed all their other stuff to the point where I didn't really have that same enjoyment of it as I once did but this is definitely doing it for me

 

Missed a lot in here today, too tired to read it all ha. Any highlights?

 

I don't care, you can't change people's feelings about them

But for Brand New, this is their last shot to garner all the critical acclaim they can. I want this album to be worshipped across the board, get top spots on all the year end lists, and go down in history as an Aall time great, then people truly appreciate Brand New as one of the greatest bands of the 2000s even in mainstream publications, and them retroactively people worshiP TDAG AND its influence, and them it gets placed on Top 200 albums of all time lists. This is their last chance for it to happen. A high Metascore and a #1 sales are working well, but I want it do even better
