I agree, the cover art is still kinda silly and seems more Demi Lovato than Taylor

 

Just wait until the tour when she steps out of a giant snake's mouth while wearing a leather jacket and opens with a cover of Bad Reputation

 

The text reminds me of TLOP.

 

Huh. Looks like the font really does seem to be throwing people off.

Like I said in her thread, my immediate thought was that the font was meant to call to mind newspaper title font.

I like the concept of the art. With the clippings to her right, her picture / makeup being black and white, and the title of the album...it is an interesting visual way to remind us that there is a version of her that only exists in the black and white of print media. It isn't exactly new territory for a popstar, but it's still effective.

It's a shame that the font of the album title didn't work for the majority of people. I'm wondering if those working on it were just a little too close to it to see that others might view it in a different light.
