2016 was a weird year for me, in many many ways. i don't think i could pull that off now, ha

edit: to get back on topic, I was pleasantly surprised to hear they'd be doing more than one movie but IIRC, the book is structured with a bunch of time shifts. Interested to see how they go about it (loved the trailer so far)

 

it took me about three weeks. but to be fair, 5 of those days was spent on vacay

 

How would people in this thread rank the Friday the 13th films? I like the first 4 and the 6th, the reboot and FvJ are alright, but all of the others are not very good.

Dolores Claiborne is a an underrated adaptation. Love that movie.

 

highly recommended also because we're having the eclipse Monday!

 

Too bad Gerald's Game didn't make it in time (the two books were related by the same eclipse if you weren't aware)

 

No I did not know that! Never read Gerald's Game. Man I love the world this dude has created.

 

There's a bit more crossover than just the eclipse, they're a super great read together.

 

never realized that was a real place. last year during the annual horror movie marathon I go to they at some point played this and it's stuck with me since:

 

i forget who recommended it, but i picked up the ritual and am about halfway through it right now and its great so thank you

 

Likewise, I did the same and am a little past the halfway point. Really enjoying it.

Houses October Built 2 trailer is terrible. They really expect us to believe the friends would do something like that again after the first time around? Christ.

 

This doesn't look great, and I hate Chris D'Elia, but I love Adam Scott and horror-comedies, so there's a good chance I'll give this a shot

edit: From the same writer/director of Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, so I'm immediately a little more optimistic

 

looking for a movie to watch tn to watch on Shudder, preferably more spooky than satirical. any suggestions?

snagged the new Arrow edition of Reanimator, it's a double dip for me but it's such a good release

 

Just bought tickets for me and my pal to see IT at the Nashville regal Imax theater on 9/9. We will be in town seeing Mxpx on that Friday and Saturday night also. Can't wait!

 

I was hoping the rumors weren't true, but man, The Bye Bye Man was awful. Still like a 6/10 though
