Honest question: what are the odds Vince & co. knew of this over 48 hours ago? MMA is a different world, but I'm drawn to believe that unless Lesnar's camp found out right away and he passed it on that there's no feasible way for WWE to know by Sunday night if even Meltz didn't know

Id bet Lesnar knew. But honestly, the betting line for that match barely budged. It was Brock all the way for days.

Reality was the earliest he could step in a UFC ring is Jan/Feb anyway...

 

I bet they had a heads up. It's just striking me now that commentary didn't even really highlight the fact that Brock said he would leave if he lost. When was the last time Michael Cole didn't remind you of a stipulation like that a thousand times during a match he's calling? MMA circles talk.

 

Brock wasnt planning on fighting Jones til next summer probably. He would have to enter the USADA pool for 6 months and get drug tested for those 6 months before he can even get a fight sanctioned. So if he did enter it today he wouldnt even be able to fight until Feb. Why would he skip a Mania paycheck if he could of just done Mania and the Jones fight after.

 

This has reminded me how much I like special guest refs. First time Ive seen KO agree with a refs 5 count in ages

 

Makes sense. I would assume he's relieved in a way. His failed test after a definitive win against Hunt pales in comparison to Jones blowing the biggest UFC fight of the decade before it's even locked down. If I'm a betting man I say we get a "Lesnar's contract expires in just a few weeks" angle leading in to Mania with a 1 or 2 year extension to follow

All of the reports I read, Observer included, said Lesnar re-entered the pool in July, which would put him at a January fight at the earliest. The only naysayer was a USADA rep, not a member, who said it wasn't the case. If I'm Lesnar thinking I may fight one of the best fighters of all time in January, I'm not bumping for shit in November at the latest

Never happy to hear that someone is hurt, but this may pay off longterm for Cass. Where does he go from here? He is, at best, the sixth most interesting "big man" on the Raw roster.

 

That storyline was awful but I have no idea here they were going with it either. I guess Enzo just won't be on tv at all until cass is back? Lol
