I love that song, but it sticks out like a sore thumb on that record.

 

Mount Eerie released such a fun album this year everyone. Go listen and have a good romp.

 

Bruh he doesn't like it because it's not good. There are plenty of fairly simplistic songs throughout this band's discography that are much better than IAAN. In fact, I don't even remember what IAAN even sounds like. I only ever listened to it once, but all I remember feeling was "Yep, this is a song that exists in the world now."

 

Science Fiction is staring into the abyss. There is no fun there.

 

Not the Sun is the worst song on the album......

Well I'd put Bangkok behind it but not because it's bad, it's just not necessary in my opinion.

The song is not good. I would be embarrassed if someone rolled up next to me and I was screaming along to this song.

I thought most of this thread thought Not the Sun was the weak point of the album?

I remember people talking about it.

 

Welcome To Bangkok is easily one of my favorites off that album.

 

I know I've already stated my disdain for Not the Sun, but IAAN is considerably worse.

 

I said that but idk if anyone else did

 

The part in IAAN where he says "I've been goddamn mean to you" is amazing. Rest in the trash

 

I'm just saying there's always this disowning of previous singles just because they aren't on the album. all the the pre album singles here are good and worthwhile, and they're definitely not worth talking about good Charlotte over.

 

Oh, that's a great song. I'm just not the biggest fans of instrumentals personally except for a few exceptions that wow me.

So take that opinion with a grain of salt.

 

Not The Sun is a good song. It's in my bottom two on the album, but that's just because the album is packed with a ton of amazing songs.

 

They opened with Bangkok when I saw them on that Thrice/MWY tour and it was perfect.

 

IAAN is excellent, and I would have been perfectly happy with an album filled with IAANs and Menes, with the occasional Out Of Range and Sealed To Me.

But I also love the product we got with Science Fiction.

I just hope one day they decide to throw that album out there that they apparently scrapped.

You Can't Look Back is also an awesome song and probably my favorite off of Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave the song is not so good.
