I'm through No Control and I think it's a solid album, particularly the heavier moments. In fairness, I listened to the first two songs on earbuds, the next 5-6 songs in the car, and the following 2 on studio monitors, so I should probably give it another few consistent listens lol. Such are my listening habits these days though.

 

Me reading TDAG takes: "And then if you try and break away from your conditioning and try and be sort of individual and, in least in our day and age right now, you start to think, 'Well, am I really doing this because I really want to be different? Am I doing it because there's such an emphasis placed [...] I don't know how to break through this contradictory mess and really find your own authentic individuality...'"

 

Pretty much. Sadly. But i'm sure there's worst ones than this. Maybe not, this thread does get pretty bad lol

Okay, not that harsh. I actually listened to TDAG today and enjoyed hearing it in context with the album. I still think it's not that great and easily their weakest closer by a very large margin.

 

I've grown to love "Handcuffs" I just think something about "I'd arrest you if I had handcuffs" is super clunky and weird

Thank you for explain this to me, I understand what you mean now. I guess it does come down to taste and u seem to be very hipster when it comes to Brand New favorites when compared to this thread.

Currently listening to TDAG because this short conversation inspired me to do so. Limousine is up next. I'll keep in mind what you said why listening to it.
