This song is b-sides territory. It's so similar to other songs I feel like I've heard it before.

 

for some more constructive criticism (and maybe that's what the band wanted, i don't know), the synth or whatever that whirring is going into the chorus just comes on way too strong and blows you out a bit, but not in the good way, especially in headphones. also personally i feel the cymbals take over a little too much in the verses and it becomes a little too much treble, but hey, if the band wanted this i can't complain. just not a big fan of some of the choices

yeah the production is different. I also think i might like this song. definitely sounds more in line of first day back, but not necessarily a bad thing

 

Hmm. Yeah the song isn't okay, I don't love it on first listen but I also feel like a lot of it had to do with the production. I'll have to listen a few more times to be able to articulate why exactly. Mike's voice sounds a little different too, but I didn't mind that at all. Sounds a little more urgent, which I like. Classic Somos chorus for sure!
