Someone in this band saw Pearl Jam live in the last three years or so. Prolly Vin

 

problem with farewell records is if they are really good then you arn't ready to say goodbye

 

I don't think I've ever seen Brand New play an encore

god damn it, i don't know if i read it here or on reddit, but someone mentioned that Desert could be the intro song to the third season of True Detectives and I just can not unhear it/unsee it hahaha. i read the comment before hearing the actual song and i just completely cracked a fat smile the second that guitar hit

I finally caught up with this thread in the middle of the night at the ungodly hour of 3:30 and all I have to add is that somebody said we all joke around in here and wouldn't say some of these things to each other irl, but I would absolutely tell people that YFW is a steaming pile of shit and that we all would get along much better without it. I am a man of my word, I would never say something on here that I wouldn't say to your face. As another example, @CoffeeEyes17 you're a butthead.

 

Also, I know y'all are hype on this album and all, but just wait til Counterparts drops their new album. They run circles around this band and offer up such a fresh take on music. This album is so fucking 90s

 

Same Logic/Teeth, Waste, 137 and Batter Up are seriously some of the best tracks this band has ever done. God damn this album... I can't stop listening to it.

 

I agree, they should definitely do what Thrice did.


Come back 3 yrs later.

Nah it should be a Noro/Untitled jam session or You Won't Know. I feel like the last moment of the band they should all be jamming together not just Jesse (and maybe Vin) playing an acoustic song.

 

Well Dude Ranch is 100000000000x better than California, so great opinion

 

If I see my last BN show ever and they close with their WOAT song Noro I'ma lose it

At the Devinyl showcase in Philly a couple years ago Jesse and Kevin Devine covered a Nirvana song. After that Jesse was telling the crowd how he grew up loving Pearl Jam and not Nirvana. Something along the lines of "You were either a Pearl Jam fan or you were a Nirvana fan... there's a difference"

Also the way Jesse carries himself in interviews reminds me of Eddie Vedder
