I honestly haven't listened to that song since last summer, I should listen to it now that we have the context of this album. I remember trying so hard to convince myself I liked it and slowly realized I didn't.

 

i remember very quickly telling myself and everyone that i didnt like it hhaha

 

the production on Mene is great though.. I really love mene live too, so much energy

 

Let's be clear, I hate Nazis/Facists and am not a Nazi that hates Facists

 

Haha yep, you pretty much made me see the light on it. I was dissapointed you didn't like it. Then like the next morning I listened to it and my heart sank....cause yeah it wasn't good haha

 

okay going to revisit the reworked demos before bed

basically my feelings of that song are proven by Science Fiction.... there is just so much more theyre capable of lol

 

nightmare and mene are good but this band is definitely at their best when they utilize the whole "studio as instrument thing" with lots of textures and atmosphere and nightmare definitely didn't have that and mene didn't have quite enough of it to stand as tall as the second half of their discog

 

Yeah I don't know what was going on wth that song. When I saw them play it last summer they didn't even seem to like it. There was no energy and they didn't seem to try and make an effort with it.

 

i wonder how many new songs they put into the setlist in the shows coming up

 

so thankful we got a proper recording of Brothers

 

going to say 4-5?

 

Sapone deserves a Grammy just for "In the Water"

 

if it's less than five songs i will flip but i want 6+

 

Hell Sapone deserves a Grammy just for the snare shot before the second chorus of In the Water

so brothers sort of set the pace for the new album, like it showed us how great they could utilize this slow burner sound. The production on this song is insanely good, and the lead guitars are so tasteful. Best Rock band of our generation. I'm on board

 

Yeah I wanted a recording of that so bad after I saw them play it with a full band in 2015. The reworked demos really are a treat

 

looking at setlists from 2009, daisy got like five or six of its songs added to the setlist back then and there was basically no yfw and rotating deja and devil songs. those were good setlists

 

I'd be fine if they left off yfw songs. Don't get me wrong, Soco is great live. But I'd much rather see deeper cuts from the other albums any day

 

I could see a setlist heavily favoring SciFi devil and god and Deja for the old fan.. with maybe 1-2 Daisy tracks. Soco is the only YFW song I could see them playing
