Having 99% of popular pop punk bands and their gauge wearing saxophonists hate your guts b/c you called out rapists a bunch was a pretty high bar to clear so I don't know where else to go.

This album reminds me of all the songs my dad plays on guitar. I can't wait for him to hear this with me. My favourites are Lit Me Up, Waste, Same Logic, Out of Mana (especially that outro), In The Water (absolutely adore hearing a Brand New song that features a banjo, organ, mandolin and harmonica!) and 451

 

It was on merch way back when.

Yup, loved that one. Considering I don't find myself very drawn to their merch anymore, a lot of that 2002-2005 range stuff was great.

I think after spinning this at least 15 times in total, this will go down as a close second to The Devil and God (Which is my third favorite record ever). What a wonderful record. Really what a remarkable career for these guys. I know sometimes fans get annoyed by how they "do things" but I truly think everything about them is remarkable.

 

God, the woman at the end of "No Control" is so fucking creepy.

 

Dystopian novel, basic premise is books are banned by govt and main character is a "fireman" but his only job is to set houses on fire that have books in them

It may not actually have anything to do with the song but the book has a kind of apocalyptic tone that meshes with this record a bit so i'd be surprised if the shared 451 was a total coincidence

Also I know sometimes I post stupid things, but I really wanna thank the entire Chorus Fm fam and this tread. really enjoyable week and I feel like we all shared it together with people I have never seen. Kinda neat.
