honestly it might be good for xbox to go to a different company

 

Just started Telltale Batman a couple days ago. I find that I'm pacing myself, only playing about an hour a day, whereas with GoT I was like "okay, let's just get this over with" and knocked out an entire episode a day.

 

I am so ready for Shenmue 3

 

sigh maybe i'll start bioshock for like the 9th time and find that this time it's for me

 

What's been the issue all the other 8 times?

 

i get like 1-5 hours into it and it's just no fucking fun, just a straight slog for me for whatever reason. perhaps the twist having been ruined saps a lot of joy out of the story, but it all is laid on too thick and while the world is cool and well-designed, it's not enough to keep me in with the gameplay when at least my play style boils down to dumping bullets into things in a way that doesn't feel good but also doesn't compel or require me to play the game the way it ostensibly wants me to play

 

Well, it is clear you have a made your own view on the game and I don't think a 9th time will sell you. With that being said, 5 hours is not giving a game a fair shot and that is with most games these days. There are exceptions of course.

 

while i don't disagree, i also sadly don't have time to dedicate more to a game that doesn't work for me, especially after multiple shots.

 

I would focus your energy elsewhere

 

Just finished Yakuza 0.

The end with Majima and Makoto had me feeling so many emotions. Man, this game was fantastic. What an incredible story.

New Uncharted unlocked tonight, which was nice. Got to play a little bit. Excited to continue after work tomorrow.

 

That $200 10th anniversary Bioshock release is so goofy.

 

Just bought FFXV digitally on Xbox for 25€, that's a pretty good deal, that game is still remarkably expensive on disc.

Also, fuck me, 61 GB.

 

I think five hours is absolutely giving a game a fair shot. If you're not enjoying a game after five hours just stop playing.
