I love every song on this album, but if I had to rank them I'd put No Control and Batter Up at the bottom.

My least favorites along with Waste. Still like them all, however.

 

I think No Control is my least favorite? But I still love it? Jesses vocals in the verses are so effortless, and the hook is simple but incredibly catchy. It actually stands out to me for being arguably the poppiest song on the record.

Favorites are still really hard to pin down, but Lit Me Up, Same Logic, 137, and In The Water are probably the ones that do the most to me.

 

I like the song but I agree, it's the only song that doesn't stand out and make you feel "Wow, Brand New really did this"

 

No control really reminds me of flying at tree level

I'm a broken record, but Lit Me Up on a cold winter night is going to mess me up.

 

Listening to flying at tree level for probably the first time in 8 years...good song but I remember feeling like it was closer to Deja worthy than I do now

 

I love listening to Jason and Drew talk about things. The ManOrch episode was so fun.

I feel like every song except Batter Up feels shorter than they actually are haha

 

Batter up doesn't feel long to me either. Idk why but i could listen to those guitar tones for hours

 

Great work, I think you really captured what it feels like to have been a fan waiting for this over the last few years and why it feels so great to finally have it
