How much a prefer the second half is a testament to its quality because I absolutely love the front half. I just think the songs get better as the album progresses.

 

I keep thinking I'm settling into having favorites, but then I listen to it all the way through again and each song just blows me away.

 

favorites are Lit Me Up, Could Never Be Heaven, In The Water, Desert, and 451. yeah, that's half the album, who care.

I'm pretty sure the stretch of Same Logic > Out of Mana will continue to grow on me though.

 

Idk like at the bottom is pretty much a modest mouse song

 

Waste, Logic, Mana, and 451 are probably what I've favored most these first few days.

 

i do land surveying and before you start a survey you look for what's called control (property markers). sometimes they're hard to find and now its got me singing No Control in my head.

 

Not to mention the extremely obvious influence of archers of loaf, jesus lizard, nirvana etc

 

Lit Me Up, Could Never Be Heaven, Same Logic, 137 and Desert are my early favorites

 

Lit Me Up, Can't Get It Out, 451, and No Control are probably my favorite tracks. The song I like the least is Heaven, but I still have it stuck in my head constantly and absolutely adore it. What an amazing record.

 

Lit Me Up does THINGS to me, man.

 

At the bottom always sticks out because of how blatant it is to me. Jesus Lizard is one I forgot. Wasn't the cover for the Jesus single an homage to them?

I mean it doesn't have crazy competition this week, but that would be fantastic

 

just the numbers themselves are pretty wild

 

lit me up had me so hype this morning i was about ready to start my own mosh pit in the living room

 

Thing that is striking me about this album is that whatever other music I put on, I keep craving this one to be on instead haha Slight obsession forming.

 

Damn, that would be pretty cool to see it go #1.

 

honestly they freakin deserve it, go out on a number one album. I would be so happy for them

 

I won't believe the whole "over in 2018" until the band says it (shut up, i know they put it on a shirt).

 

Brand New putting out a critically acclaimed record that is number 1 in the country has been my dream for most of the last 7 years tbh.

 

It's incredible how huge this band got in the past few years considering they haven't released anything

 

If they don't break up in 2018 I'm burning my t shirt
