Apple Music question. I just disabled my iCloud library to put Science Fiction on my phone and then manually put the library back on. However... random songs won't sync back on. Any idea what to do about that? For instance, Lorde's Sober II and the closer on Tyler the Creator's new album are "no longer available"

 

I had the same thing happen with other songs, I had to delete them from my library then re-add them and try again

 

Why couldn't you upload the album to the cloud though?

 

I'm actually pretty new to Apple Music so I don't know how to do that and my computer is really shitty haha. Plus I'm not really hooked up to the cloud because I share an account with my mom (which I should really change already)

 

If you enable iCloud music library on your computer, just adding albums to your library will upload them to the cloud (that is, if they're not already available in Apple Music, which Science Fiction isn't)

 

Intel Iris 540's power is equivalent to how many VRAM? Maybe that's the wrong way of asking what I want to know, but I hope you know what I mean.

2015 13" Macbook air A1466 MJVE2LL/A 1.6GHZ 8GB Ram and 126 HD space, along with Microsoft 2016 office. Priced at 600 dollars, is it worth it?

 

I activated iCloud Music Library on my main iTunes after putting it off for so long. After the thing running almost 24 hours uploaded and syncing tracks to the cloud, I think it's done. Everything looks mostly in tact on the surface looking at album view. Had to merge a few albums that split up for some reason. Everything is on my phone now too. Looks like it's gotten better with all the orig problems.

 

Did this a couple weeks ago when I had to re-upload everything and it went so much smoother than it did two years ago

I have a free three month subscription to apple music and I finally decided I would pull the trigger on it the other day. Was waiting until the last day of my spotify sub to cancel. Waited too long and they charged me. No big deal, I'll just request a refund. No hassle in doing that. Refunded instantly and moved to free tier.

Unfortunately I did it at work and left my three month trial at home so now I have 4 hours of no streaming music

Also need to figure away to get my years of spotify music onto apple music...

i'm actually a little surprised that the waits are still this drastic after almost 9 months. i was lucky enough to be at my apple store one day when they had like 3 pairs on the shelf.

i wonder how pre-ordering and stock quantities will be for the HomePod in December if they can't get the headphones out quick enough to people.

I think the big hurdle to get over right now is that display - it's not great by modern standards. However, with the cheapest Mac with a good screen now at $1300, the Air is still a viable option. Best Buy is selling the 2016 version (or it might be the 2015) for $799, so $600 seems fair as long as it is in great shape.

If it's going to be a work machine and not something you plan on watching a crap ton of Netflix on then I think it should be fine.

Just don't go comparing it side-by-side with the Pros or 12" MacBook - can't unsee the difference in screen quality.

 

Just upgraded to the 7+ and I can't seem to connect to my Beats wireless. Anybody else ever have this issue?

I had the weirdest thing happen to my iPhone when I woke up this morning.

It basically started to freak out and opening and switching from a bunch of different apps and then randomly called my wife and during that call then tried calling a random contact. Any sort of input I tried to give it didn't do anything. I tried shutting down but wouldn't let me complete a full swipe to the right to confirm the shit down. Did a hard reset and it works fine now.
