I had no idea there was a pop up haunted house for the new IT movie, that's awesome.

 

Hopefully that movie is good too, the OG miniseries is beloved in my family.

Fuck. Ok so apparently tickets sold out in a matter of minutes but they will be doing walk ins and possibly extending the attraction. I hope they do cause I will totally go, that is amazing.

 

I'm honestly jealous people get to go to that, it's so cool.

 

BTW, St. Louis has the best haunted houses in America and I'll fight people on that.

It's always fun. Here, there's a group that runs three different haunted houses. The Darkness is the the top tier one in Soulard (downtown STL) that's routinely voted as one of the best in the country, if not the world. People from all over visit during Transworld, the haunted house con that takes place here in the spring, and they're always amazed by it. Next is Creepyworld in Fenton, aka sophos Jake's home turf. It's a massive haunted house, like 11 haunted houses connected together that takes over an hour or so to get through. Last, there's the Abyss at Lemp Brewery, that takes places in the underground tunnel between the famously haunted Lemp Mansion and the brewery. It's a pitch black haunted house and while I haven't been to it yet, I've heard it fucking terrifying to get through. There's also a haunted house in my town, Phobius, that was bought from Texas and brought here, it's pretty decent.

Not midwestern, but I have some friends from Louisiana and their accent is so sweet and endearing. Question: when a boring ol Californian like myself goes to the Midwest do people even take notice?

 

Eh depends. Like here, there are two kinds of accents I run into: the country/faux Southern accent from the rural areas and the more normal sounding accent of people close to the city. Unless you sound like Spicoli, you could blend in.

 

The Boston and New York accents always fascinate me.
