    all we have is time

This is super random but the guitar riff at 5:02 in "Batter Up" is the same as the riff over the "who's been singing that song" line in the chorus of "Magazines." Don't ask me how I noticed that but literally the first time I heard it I was like "that's a YFW riff!" Obviously it's a fairly generic string of notes so not on purpose but still funny haha

Picked that up early on - unfortunately from personal experience (back in college when I had some drinking issues as well) - but yeah holy shit, that home alone bit really hit.

Not to bring the thread down haha - but, on the bright side, coming up on 7 years sober and no cutting.

I have a good sound system in my car and finally got to listen to the album in it, and damnnn.

Is it just me, or does Sapone seem to put a little extra effort into Brand New records? And I don't mean it as an insult in ANY way, everything he touches sounds awesome, but I'm just blown away at how good this album sounds.

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

Does Desert give anyone else an "ants under your skin" uncomfortable feeling? Shit makes my skin crawl.

I know what you mean! This album is perfectly produced. It's raw, but not too raw like Daisy was. The instruments have life in this. The bass stands a lot too, which is great.

I can't imagine depending on a streaming service as my primary source of music.

At my moms cottage and brought the BN dvd was going to watch it but can't find the laptop lol so the gf and I decide to give this bad boy another spin on the gear we brought. In the dark with candles and its perfect. Total blessing in disguise after all.

It kind of is. It's on the web player, but not the app. Strange, right?

I pretty much do. I have iTunes, but I only really use it to listen to leaks or the rare instances in which an album I want to listen to isn't on Spotify. 99% of my music listening is through Spotify. It's the easiest option for me.

I still buy tons of music. I like using streaming services. I used to bring in 15+ cds to work. Now it's on my phone or laptop. I've listened to stuff I'd never usually give a chance to, or find some real gems out there. (I did buy Science Fiction)

Sooo sitting at a mountain lake staring at the stars, Lit Me Up works pretty perfectly...def my favorite on the album so far, especially after that moment.

Also had two people ask "Who is this?" And said they liked it

I have the album downloaded through purchase, but it would be neat if it was on Spotify. It's no big deal, but it would be nice to have all my songs in one place. It's not going to kill me, but hey, it's something I'd appreciate having nonetheless.

And to think the last few weeks I was posting about my trips to Taco Bell because we had nothing else to talk about. We were all so innocent back then.
