Sip of Sunshine is definitely not as good as last year, but still excellent

I had Tired Hands "When You die..." and thought it was just okay. I haven't found much redeemable qualities in using spelt in the grain bill.

Dude, I can send you a Hunahpu. We go every year (though I skipped this year due to being preggo, hubs still went). I think we have 8 bottles of this year's and a couple of each of the last 4.

:-O:-O:-O:-O Yoo! I don't know what I could send back, since you guys have basically anything amazing that comes out of Michigan already, but I am willing to throw dollar dollar bills your way in return!

Dude, if you send him a No Rules, he'll be pretty happy. That stuff is killer (bummed I missed it at the Aardwolf release bottle share yesterday)

I will fire that beer into the sun because I think it is undrinkably sweet and Perrin makes wayyy better barrel aged beer, haha. But I don't think I bought a bottle this year.

Edit: Plus I think Jaime ends up with No Rules anyways. She's got basically everything I could think to send her, haha. Though, I could send some Old Nation NEIPA's. They're the best in the midwest or at least second to Hoof Hearted.

well, you're close enough to more easily grab some New Glarus fruited beers, and those are always welcome with anyone!

It's been a long time since we had a whole separate trading thread on AP, haha. I'd be down for swapping some stuff if anyone wants any NJ/NY/PA stuff though.

I am. I tend to enjoy trading in the non-summer months. i have a trade still pending with someone on here (just got his package last week but I'm swamped/out of town this week) that I have to finish up, but this fall/winter I would be down to trade with anyone. I've traded once with @BlueEyesBrewing and everything made it safe and sound, so there's one person to vouch.

I also want to send out some cans from the place I work at if/when we can up some of our bourbon aged stuff because it's KILLER.

I can definitely vouch for @bigmike, good guy to trade with.

I'd definitely like to try some of your breweries stuff when you have some cans

    No Fun. Not Ever.

So my new roommate is big on brewing, so now we actually have a tap setup in our basement.

I'm still coming to terms with it.

    I am a lady! :embarrassed:

Yeah we definitely get No Rules here. I don't think we get any Old Nation though so that could work! How often are you able to get it? Baby is due 9/20 so I'll be looking for some fresh hops in late Sept/early Oct. I can send the Huna to you whenever though.

Haha not worried about that, I've known (well, 'e-known') Big Mike for... wow has to be more than 10 years now? Since the old old AP.net days!

If anyone has access to Treehouse/Trillium and could help me out to get some for my best friends bachelor party you'd be the best.

On another note, Revolution Brewing is distributing to Michigan now. Will have to pick some up this week, I've heard good things

Good to hear. Stores near me seem to have gotten the Heroes variety pack, Mosiac Hero, and then their Oktoberfest and porter.

Apologies!! I feel bad, because I had read some of your posts on here and knew you are a lady. I blame lack of sleep and commenting from my job.

There are cases of M-43 that are always fresh (like less than 3 weeks from canning) in the store a mile from me. I would also be able to get any of their other releases. So it shouldn't be a problem at all. Just let me know!

Also, yeah, it's been like a decade. Christ, time flies!
I'm so stoked Revolution is in Michigan now. Really, really loved their original taproom I went to in Chicago. Fresh cans of their Hero series will be great, and I remember loving their unsessionable imperial IPA. Would love to have that again.

Yeah man. I'll put a post up here whenever we start canning at work and see who wants what. I'm pushing for our barrel aged stuff to get canned because, man, it's fantastic. Our IPA's are pretty garbage (they just taste old school with a bit too much crystal malt in them and the standard 60/30/10 hopping schedule), but we have done great work on our malty beers.

Actually, I tried some of a blood orange hef we have in our brite and we are thinking of using this hef strain in a NEIPA soon because it's fucking killer. We fermented with it a couple times this summer in a non-jacketed fermenter when it was pretty hot out so it stressed the yeast a bit and now it's just loaded with a banana and pineapple estery thing going on that's so damn inviting. I'm looking forward to that. We have to knock a NEIPA out of the park because we have two breweries that are 25 mins from us making some of the best in Michigan.

Yeah, I generally take the summer off from trading as well. Oddly enough working out the rare summer trade right now though for the No Rules variants that just came out.

When do you need them by? I can get Trillium fairly easily but not for a couple weeks as I'm moving next weekend and will be pretty busy for a bit. I am planning on trying to get to the new Treehouse facility sometime soon as well.

Definitely interested in the barrel aged stuff if you guys do that. A hef yeast in a NEIPA is an intriguing choice, I'd be worried about the clove shining through. But the added pineapple sounds like it could be real nice. I see your boss gave in on NEIPA's being legit now. Wasn't he the one that was pretty adamant in them just being hazy IPA's?

Would be around September 21st. If it takes longer, that's not a problem though.

Haha no worries! We are a very small part of the craft beer community, so I understand the confusion!

Perf! I'll message you privately for your address. I can ship this weekend if you like?

I'll be heading to Boston that weekend for CBC and hoping I can stop by on my way. I'll keep you posted.
