Hillary wins Connecticut. That means Bernie only won Rhode Island, also known as the only state that allowed independents to vote.

he couldve won connecticut if he didn't let hillary beat him over the head with sandy hook

Trump will win every remaining state. At this point he's turned doubters into believers faster than his competitors have done the opposite. Cruz / Kasich partnership will turn out to be too little too late

The anti-Clinton posts should keep coming until this idea that voting for Clinton is important because any other vote is a for Trump is dismissed (which seemed to be a popular opinion here). Aside from the absurdity of the idea and the assured continuance of a broken system, her presidency would arguably be worse than Trump's, especially overseas.

The prevalence of that voter mindset is as scary as a Cruz presidency.

You never know when a casual poster might wander by the altar. Also, it's a self-indulgent thing: it's nice to see people online who can genuinely appreciate what an awful person Hillary Clinton is.

Also, Clucky sometimes defends. He seems to have some preference for Clinton.

I don't have a preference for Clinton (over Sanders. I have a strong preference for Clinton over Trump), I just don't think she is as bad as everyone else makes her out to be and find many of the attacked levied against her to be unfair.

But also I know Dom and I don't see eye to eye on everything and disagree on some base principles, so trying to argue against the conclusions he reaches from his principles seems pointless.

    This election sucks.

I truly feel like Clinton cannot be trusted. At least Bernie was authentic when he spoke, Clinton is just another machine trained by DC politics.

Everyone thought Trump was a joke when he announced his candidacy and now he's going to be the Republican nominee. I feel like everyone is underestimating Trump again (vs. Clinton) and this race is going to be a lot closer than we thought.

November is still a long time away and a lot can happen between now and then, but its stuff like this that gives me hope Clinton is up to the task of dealing with Trump.

    Clinton is scum.

  10. It's just upsetting to me that of the two major "outsider" candidates, Trump was the one to make it.

I just don't get it. And Baltimore elected the worst possible Mayor. Just a shitty day yesterday.

I'm not surprised though. Trump is a celebrity + successful business man. I'm fairly certain that 90% of America had no idea who Sanders was until he ran.

I just wonder who's next in the pipeline for the Democratic Party? They're basically going with the loser from the 2008 election, and I don't think Bernie will be able to run in 8 years due to age.

Republicans had so many people running and a lot of them got exposure that can help in 8 years...I guess we'll see what happens.

Clinton is definitely up to the task of debating/fighting Trump but I do think it'll be closer than everyone seems to think right now

Obviously a lot can happen but at this point I agree. Paul Ryan will be the next Republican president, it's just a matter of when

So when Trump gets in and you opted to vote not-hillary, you'll all be cool with that?

the chances of republicans winning a presidential election any time soon are slim-none. the country's demographics aren't favorable to them anymore. the only way they win is if the democrats dont turn out to vote.

The idea that trump has a snowballs chance in hell of winning the general as a way of shaming people who think Hillary has terrible policy and politics is so funny. The dude has historically bad unfavorability and the lowest support from his party out of any likely nominee since idk, ever, maybe? Even if every single bernie sanders supporter stayed home in november, there would likely be more than enough "anyone but trump" independents and republicans who would switch sides to compensate.

Is that what the "anyone but Hillary" crowd Is thinking? I can vote for whoever because no way trump wins? I mean there was seriously a post above saying trump would be better and my blood pressure just spiked.

i posted again, there's no chance trump wins.

Ya but dude also overcame all the predictions about eight months ago saying that Noway does he get the republican nomination. Yet here we are.

So then put it another way...if any republican nominee had a real chance at winning, would everyone still be all nope Hillary? I can't wrap my head around this, I'm sorry.

  25. devenstonow

The problem with that is (and this is coming from a strong Hillary supporter), as has been seen already, statistically in polls (disregarding that general election polls mean pretty much nothing as of right now), Trump is just completely unpredictable. It feels as though there's no criticism against him that hasn't been used, and yeah, maybe polls have him unfavorable in his party, but then why is he still having dominating wins?

Yeah, I think Hillary would beat him even without winning over the bulk of the "No Hillary" Sanders crowd, but at the same time, he's been such a wild card so far
