That's essentially what I said. Have fun without harming people. Like I said the show I saw Brand new at, I didn't really see anyone getting harmed. Also, being moved around isn't harm. If you are at a show you are going to get moved around. There's a difference between getting moved around and someone trying to push you around. (I used the wrong word in the first statement.)

The Philly show isn't seated either right? Just GA like the Chicago show I think. I have mixed feelings about it only because i'm not familiar with the venue in Chi town at all

Telling people to stop going to shows for bands they like because they might get harmed, instead of, you know, working on helping improve crowd behavior and spreading safety awareness at shows is super, super shitty. Shows shouldn't be an unsafe place, and it sucks that they are.

I'm just saying if you guys are complaining about Brand New fans during Deja fans, I'd like to here about your experience at a punk show.

I'm just saying, if you are personally worried about getting harmed, what's the smart thing to do? Stay home.

But I agree people should be able to have fun without getting harmed. That's not always the case though and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it so in those instances stay home.

The first post I responded specifically mentioned Brand New fans during Deja songs.

    Try again.

Most punk shows I've been to do a better job with safety than any Brand New show I've been to. Jeff Rosenstock always has a safe and great crowd, probably due to him spreading a positive message about crowd safety each show

Your post wasn't the first I was responded to.

You responded to me responding to a post about Deja fans so I was on the topic of Deja fans at shows.

But let's just drop it, this is going nowhere.

I agree you shouldn't have to worry about getting harmed at shows.

Might be a stretch but I've always loved how Jesse romanticizes baseball, or the nerve of being up at the plate, taking a swing etc. Felt a little bit of it in Sealed To Me with "being my own MVP," and the theme of Batter Up.

Makes me think of this video where he want's everyone to get hit and take one. While goofy, I can't help but wonder if it kind of embodies his seeming love of sportsmanship, or sports, or what it means to be in the spotlight through that lens.

Also, Lit Me Up hits so hard every time I hear it, damn.

No crowd is worse than the NFG mesh shorts scumbags.

Well, I guess the bands that formed from those scumbags probably have shitty shows too

Being pushed around is fine (although if someone doesn't want it, they shouldn't have to be just because they're at a concert) but I got kicked in the face by like three crowd surfers within just Quiet Things alone lol. Had to spend a large portion of the Deja songs keeping feet away from my girlfriend's face instead of enjoying the music

Ignore the word Pushed. Change it to "moved"

You are going to get moved around during a show, that's normal at any rock show.
