That's one of my favorite lines on the album. I personally love how it's written.

 

Apparently it's something to do with World of Warcraft.

 

Yeah, lyrically and instrumental it's probably their best

 

The verse definitely gives me acoustic STP vibes. Like "Creep", "Kitchenware and Candybars", or "Big Empty". Obviously in it's own Brand New way tho

 

"Hide your daughters", the old men say
You were young once before, you know how we get our way

That line from "In The Water" has stuck with me, along with all of "137" and "Desert". Jesse has served up some sharp social commentary in his lyrics this time around.

 

this album made me really want them to do some full blown neil young covers which I did not expect at all

 

Onto my 3rd listen in a row this morning. This album is all I want to listen to haha

 

I dont get the reference other than the Japanese city.

 

The Nagasaki line is more disturbing to me than anything. Doesn't sound or look poorly written to me at all.

 

What do you mean? You don't get that we dropped a nuke on Nagasaki?

 

Tickets for Brooklyn sold out instantly of course and I can't get tickets, I'll never see them live

 

If I do the digital download purchase, can I listen on my iPhone or will there be a bunch of steps between?

 

Might be worth it to pay re-aale prices just because this might be your last chance to see them

 

I was up until 2 trying to get the album from my computer to my phone. For some reason it's not syncing thru wifi or direct connection. I know Brand New is behind this somehow lol, I've never had this issue syncing ITunes before.

 

Need to download on computer.

 

No Control is a dope song. I'm very happy with how this album turned out. Great, great directional choice for them after w/e Daisy was. Cut back on that Isaac Brock-lite voice

There's 90's grunge vibes a lot of places on this record, and it works so well!

Album was on loop all day yesterday, and again today. My favorite track continues to be Same Logic/Teeth. Personally I hear Modest Mouse all throughout that song. But I still can't get over that Mr. Ed sounding line "at the bottom of the ocean" - would love to have just seen that tiny bit snipped out.

 

I can't get tickets. Might actually cry.

 

This is insane, Ticketmaster.com literally crashed and wouldn't load. Is it possible all the tickets for Boston sold on the Pre-Sale? Once it loaded it said, sold out.

 

Well, tickets for brand new in Brooklyn cost me $0. I didn't get any. Haha
