i know ive joked about this before but Jesse really sincerely is a great lyricist. i think i forget just how....dark yet funny he can be. i think he purposefully puts lines like "life is a test and i get bad marks" and "the champ goes down like a clown in the second round" in to kind of add this almost psychotic layer of humor to these otherwise very dark songs. reminds me a lot of Morrissey and Isaac Brock which are his fav songwriters so it makes sense

So I just came across Vince Ratti saying he mixed all but one song on the album (Same Logic/Teeth), and he seems to think the 500 preorders are getting the CDs in the mail (I thought someone here said it was 5000). He said he's not completely sure, but still, now I have renewed hope that I will get one in the mail in the coming days...

 

I agree but put on Could Never Be Heaven instead of Water and the sequence is even better

 

doesn't surprise me about Ratti, he did an incredible job

I'm about ready to christen "In the Water" the best song this band has recorded not named "Jesus" so...

 

This album is so good I would have spent 100 dollars on the limited vinyl

Now I'll have to disagree there. It's not even in the top half of the album to me.

 

I've only played this album twice in full. Can't wait to spend much more time with it. So much to process/digest. I can't help but wonder if something else will happen. It's totally possible that this isn't the end of their output imo

I knew there were 500 of the CDs, but I don't think it has been clear as to who was receiving them? Or maybe I missed that part.

 

I hope its not the first 500 bc I got mine in the second wave.... hoping its random for my sake lol

 

I think the best sequence on the album is Lit Me Up - Batter Up tbh
