He talks about digging gold out of holes, I think "In the Water." Also mentions mining specifically on another song, maybe "Out of Mana?" But it's too soon for them to be referencing ABMTTS, right?

Out of five albums, I never expected Deja to be my second to least favorite

 

That was fucking wild. I'm pretty much in awe right now. I understand why that took 8 years.

 

Not that it hasn't already been said but the production on this beast is incredible

Listened to Deja on my evening run while the sun was setting today. Absolutely amazing.

I didn't notice this end to the tape conversation that starts the album off until reading over the lyrics just now. It's like they are telling us up front this is it. (I'm sure someone mentioned this hours ago)

 

Creepiest part of the album, and to me there are quite a few creepy parts.

 

I was having a Facebook convo with some friends that think the album sucks and they are saying it's way too safe, especially instrumentally and that there are no Jesse/Vin harmonies like normally.

I don't know what album they're listening to.

 

Definitely time to quit. Unless they can make another album this good within the next eight years.

 

When Jesse said they were interested in putting weird stuff on records back when Daisy came out he wasn't kidding

 

The album title is great and totally fits perfectly. But it still maybe shoulda been "Hell is Digital" cause that's just a great line

 

People said that after TDAG. And Daisy. And maybe Deja idk
