This has to be the fastest moving thread in the history of the internet. By the time I'm all caught up Brand New will have released their 6th album.

It's way too late, or much too early Prestigious

"137" right into "Out of Mana" is fucking sickkkkkkkk

Lit Me Up is kinda low energy as an opener for my tastes, but Can't Get It Out sounds good

not entirely sure what the issue is. i ordered today around 3pm. i just got home about 20 minutes ago to redeem the download and it tells me that it isn't available anymore. I was thinking maybe everyone only gets one download and somehow mine was compromised? but ive seen a few other posts with people saying they have used the download several times, so I am not really sure whats going on. hopefully I hear back from procrastinate

anyway this record kinda reminds me of juno's a future lived in past tense, just a great band stretching alllllll the way out

I think maybe they just liked those songs but saw they didn't really have a place on this album. Figured maybe just give them something to chew on before we blow their damn minds.

On my third listen I finally broke down and balled it all out, my son asked me why I was crying lol. It's been a really rough year for me between what's been going on in America of course plus I went through a really brutal breakup. I'm just really grateful this finally saw the light of day, this album and Shenmue 3 next year! Things are defiantly looking up for me, I know it's lame it's just content/entertainment a Band and a video game. It's just these two things completely changed my life and how I feel. In a nutshell I am feeling extremely grateful.

I like the idea that they were out there to lower expectations, haha. I'm sure that's not the case, but it would be funny

This is pretty fast but the Blink-182 reunion on absolutepunk was the biggest/fastest I think. Don't really remember the exact numbers but it was a huge thread.

I'm so close to actually getting to listen... I just need to force myself to get a little more work done, then I can cry with the rest of y'all. I'm going to try to not look at the titles or anything as I listen, because I want to listen to it as if I got the CD in the mail.

This exactly, couldn't have said it better myself. All these years I keep worrying about how the hell they were going to live up to the pressure; how were they going to top their best work (which is still up for debate, I might add)? After about four songs in, I smiled to myself. They said "screw that", and refused to play that game. This record's so different, while also being so true to Brand New's progression as a band. I want to compare it to Thrice's Major/Minor.

Also I am drunk as well. Poured a double whiskey on the rocks in order to cope with this. Getting weepy.

I really like Mene. IAAN is good enough, but I wasn't a huge fan of Sealed To Me, so they did kind of lower my expectations a bit. Safe to say if that was the goal they more than blew me away.

Boy...this album rules. My goodness. It's like all their albums rolled into one with a new direction. Can't wait for my vinyl to come in the middle of fall time. So rad.

Not sure about that, as the IAAN press release referenced that it was off a forthcoming lp

I'm still on my first listen now, but Lit Me Up was a fantastic opener that I was not expecting at all. I love it. 137 and Out Of Mana were also awesome back to back. I'm on In The Water currently and I'm really feeling this
