This is the best Indonesian Independence Day ever!

 

I've got a 3.5 hour drive to the mountains for a bachelor party weekend tomorrow, this will be a good driving companion

some thoughts

the drums sound incredible
the guitars are amazing on this album, great rhythm and leads really thought out chord progressions
Love Jesse's vocal performance a lot of low range stuff but it really emotes.. sort of reminds me of coca cola a bit
This band is incredible, and this album is up there with Daisy and Devil and God

Just came across this, anyone know of other scenarios where two artists used the same photograph for a cover? Or was this a very well planned hint 6 years ago.

 

the more i listen to this the more it flies by. does not feel like it's an hour long at all

 

I'm happy to hear a guitar-driven record that sounds really fresh

 

I'm catching a different influence each listen. Can't remember which track, but I definitely felt a little Nine Inch Nails at the beginning of one of the songs on the first half.

 

It's so bizarre to me that they'd go with an unoriginal photo for the album cover...for their last record. Odd.

 

Starting second listen. Damn, the ending of this album was so good that I forgot how great "Lit Me Up" is.

 

I mean...I can connect with this better than any record just by the way the music is written. Sounds like they really learned their instruments over the past years. It is literally taking me to a different world of emotions and they involve a lot of goose bumps. What a heavy hitter. Damn.

No way of knowing for sure right now, but I'm gonna be happy believing there is a Nick Cave reference in the chorus of 451.

why? they didn't use "original" photographs for daisy or the devil and god

 

If I got a vote I'm fine with them just doing the same shit and kinda not being a band and coming back with another album this good in 8 years. No one asks me tho.

 

What's with all the Daisy love?

Never seen so much Daisy love until today. By far their worst album in my opinion.
