Okay. Listened twice, and yeah this was well worth the wait. The guitar on this is so good. The song after No Control has such huge/lush woodsy tones, and I love it. It's like I'm escaping a commune of forest finatics on a burning boat.

 

I find it hilarious they just dropped this after the long wait. First four songs are definitely good and I'm happy for you all that have been waiting years for this.

 

451 I guess is the song I like a lot. I could've sworn it was a few tracks before Batter Up though.

Yeah, also very happy for the people who have waited years for this. I'm not one of them (I haven't even listened to Daisy lol), but this definitely seems good so far and worthy.

 

God damn "Same Logic/Teeth" is fucking incredible. Wow.

 

I'm floored.

 

Whew. Wow. okay. Finished my first listen through.

Out of Mana was the first one where I started feeling a little "meh", but the 2nd half of the song def is awesome.

This def surpassed expectations. I guess I can see why some people might get a little "tired" with how soft everything sounds, but I personally love it. It might be hard to listen to ALL the time, but the songs are just so fucking good....

The only thing I can think of that I could say I "don't like" is that...well, I was a big fan of IAAN, and I def would have enjoyed another bouncy poppy song or two like that. But we got the other end of the spectrum which I am also happy with. I was worried we'd get more of the harsher/louder side of Daisy with this album and instead we got something that sounded like it took all the melodic parts of Deja, Demos, Devil, and Daisy, and put a whole new spin on it. So I am so so so happy.

Ahhhhhhhhh I can't believe this album is finally here.

 

Anyone buy all 3 vinyl options so far? Black, white, and limited preorder?

I am so glad no singles were released beforehand. Hearing this all for the first time in one listen was such an experience

 

Please tell me I am not alone in thinking this is not a good album at all. I feel like I am missing out! haha

That moment when Brand New stopped having to prove themselves and became one of the all time great bands... here's to another 8 years. AOTY thus far.

 

Not just being a raging hyperbolic fan...I really haven't found a track I dislike.

 

The level of artistic satisfaction they must be feeling right now...I can only imagine

Can't think of the last album that I anticipated so much that I went into blind. It's such a different experience, especially with a whole fan base hearing it at relatively the same time

 

You are alone in thinking this is not a good album at all. You are definitely missing out.

 

I was a casual fan of BN up to this point but I think this is absolute next level.

 

Waste reminds me of Civil War by GNR. Keep on wanting to sing "Look at your young men fighting.." right when the vocals are kicking in.
