It hasn't even hit me that I'm listening to a new Brand New album. Its surreal.

 

Could Never Be Heaven sounds like Damnation era Opeth, it might be my favorite here.

Up until today, I'd listened to A Black Mile To The Surface almost every day since it came out... sadly, I think it has been (at least temporarily) dethroned.

 

a friend on another board compared "in the water" to talk talk, and tbh the comparison holds up

 

I guess I will just listen to a new Brand New album tonight.

 

Wow, I did not care for this album at all. What a let down.

 

It's settled I'm getting the album art tattooed on my back

 

I still like a portion of it, just not as into that style anymore and just flat out don't like some of the songs anymore. Still important to me, though, and still several tracks I love.

 

I'll give credit to @Jason Tate his website survived the stress test of Brand New releasing an album... if that doesn't scream stability, I don't know what does!
