Speaking of being old. Is that Jared Kaufman? The old reviewer from early AP days?

 

Let's hope they pull a Chris Brown and this album ends up being a Quadruple album!

 

I mean the artwork for TDAG wasn't original either, in the sense of it being just for their album so this isn't new or anything bad.

 

"No Control" is orgasmic holy shit that chorus

 

Holy shit wasn't expecting so much acoustic guitar and soft melodic tones....i'm in heaven

 

The guitar work is fucking gorgeous

I'm going to listen tonight so I can smoke and chill. I'm glad they didn't include any of the previous songs we thought were for the new album. So what's it like?? Mix between Daisy and TDAG??

 

From 2007-2010 I must've made my fb profile pic a different picture of Jesse thirty times. Me and my girlfriend literally want to name our first son Jesse after him.

 

I said to a friend that it feels like the missing link between TDAG and Daisy

We finally have a fifth brand new album. And it shattered expectations. This is the best band on the planet and when they hang it up music will be worse off for it

 

I would say mix of Deja Entendu and a whole new sound never heard before

 

Like I said on twitter, brand new finally made a straight up guitar album. That's where all my focus was

Lol just got to Vin's line in Same Logic....definitely a bit weird

 

YFW will always have a special place in my heart, but a lot of it is unlistenable to me now, especially when I have their disco on shuffle.

Haven't even processed all of the lyrics yet and it's definitely hitting me on the emotional level that Daisy didn't/couldn't. I can take all of this in in one straight thru listen easily, though. TDAG and Daisy have some exhausting elements and/or parts I just don't care for that I skip now.

One of the best bands ever, that's for sure!

Not my absolute favorite band but they come very close. Blink-182 with Tom holds the crown for me.

 

So if I buy the digital on their site I can get this right now? Is that what's happening here?

 

Just listened to the album. Incredible. Very different from what they've done but with a ton of callbacks. I am assuming the majority of the recorded audio is referencing conversion therapy, or some kind of ECT? Loved the southern vibe to go with the religious theme. I also got the feeling re: repetitive references to water...baptism makes you feel free and pure but you don't realize you're also being drowned in its hypocrisy.

PS - I'm teebs41 fiancée, we are going nuts with this record!
