my first tattoo was "Fight Off Your Demons" at 18. then i got the Deja cosmonaut at 19. then the chess pieces from YFW at 20. the outline of the girl from TDAG at 21. the fox from Daisy at 23(or so?). and nothing since then. now i gotta get a new tattoo for the first time in six years.

 

it's also the 33rd prime. so could just be illuminati and leave it at that.

I listened to the first song on YouTube because I couldn't handle waiting until I got home tonight from work / dinner and I instantly had a ridiculous rush of emotion. I was so happy, so relived, so excited, and so thrilled at how fucking good it sounded. I may have shed a few tears (I did). I can only relate feeling to when the Cleveland Cavaliers won the NBA Finals last year. It was something I waited a very very long time for / to see and it happened in such drastic fashion just like this. It's silly to have so much emotion invested in a band and a team and whatever but man, few things mean more to me. Know this maybe the last time I listen to a new Brand New album for the first time it really hits me.

I'm a pathetic man child

 

Might just do that.

The chess game is from 2001, the tower from Close encounters. Album is called Science Fiction. It probably goes deeper than that, but its explanation enough for me!

 

Anyone else think this could be half of a double album? Look at their cover photo they only showed the blue girl

 

I guess it's worth mentioning the album name is "Science Fiction" too. 137 is sort of "mystical" number within physics. Pops up a lot in weird places.

YFW came out my freshman year of high school, followed by Tell All Your Friends. Been with BN since the very beginning. So it's crazy if this could be the end.

(Yes I'm old, yes I've been posting on this website way too long)

 

I really enjoyed it, but felt it's missing some of the harder edge I enjoy. I'll listen again in the morning but it's half 12.
