What does she mean "worked on this story for years"?

 

Lol. People who say this isn't the album are nuts and/or didn't listen to it. The whole thing feels and blends like an album, this is in no way a comp or random songs that were thrown together. My lord.

 

I think the shirt is a separate thing entirely. I ordered both the vinyl and cd and wasn't prompted for a shirt size at all.

You do not get a shirt with your preorder unless you actually add a shirt to your cart sepeartely from whatever physical version you choose.

That they've been getting emails from the band and their management of "here, check this out" and constantly writing and re-writing the story about the new Brand New album for 10 years now.

Maybe I'm just not hearing it yet but I wouldn't call it the best thing I've listened to all year.

Someone else said Everything Now and it's not that good.

 

Also "waiting for physical" is a poor excuse when you literally get an immediate download with any physical preorder purchase. The internet is not this hard.

 

She's making a reference to when Trumps son posted those pics to twitter that accidentally showed some docs regarding Russia. A reporter later tweeted out "I've literally been working on this story for years, looking for evidence, and they just....tweeted it out."

 

I mean, even if they hadn't sent out press releases and shit confirming this was the album, just listening to it confirms that it is indeed an album. I mean, how anyone could listen to this and not see that it is a meticulously crafted work of art that flows and possesses a generally uniform sonic aesthetic is beyond me lol. This is clearly a cohesive piece, not a collection of thrown together scraps.

You don't think it's a bad look for someone to police an out of context line from a song that they didn't even correctly hear the lyrics to, and didn't take the time to look at in the full context of the song?

I'm a bleeding heart liberal LGBTQ ally in every way. I've been out on the streets marching for the rights of gay people, like many of us here have. That does not mean I think it's in any way positive to have a kneejerk "Wait is Brand New homophobic?" reaction to a single misquoted out of context line. It could have been about any issue and I'd feel the same way. I'm really not even close to sure why people are mad at me and not the people that clearly were making an incorrect assumption that I worked to correct with the actual context of the art we're discussing here.

Pretty good blend of all of Jesse's vocal styles and mannerisms.

 

Good news, I plan to buy the physical copy of the album when it hits stores!

I DO plan on BUYING the album so no need to worry about that. I just always buy physical copies because I like collecting CDS and have a huge CD collection.
