Well crap. Missed out on the exclusives. Willing to buy one of the splatters

 

I was lucky enough to see her last fall in a really tiny venue in Providence (the place is actually about to close down). It was sold out, but there couldn't have been more than a hundred people there (I'm in the front row of this photo, hehe).

But seriously, one of the greatest shows I've ever been to. The way she just takes control of the room, while retaining this huge sense of intimacy, is unparalleled. So, I hope she can successfully transition into these bigger venues.

Anyway, I tried to hold off on listening to any of her new material until the album came out. Failed miserably, gladly. Wish I could have got my hands on one of the really limited vinyl variants, but I'll settle for the clear one. I'm fully confident this is definitely going to be one of the best albums of the year.

 

I'll be on vacation when she plays Atlanta, but this new track just pushed me over the edge to getting a ticket to see her play Nashville in November. So stoked.

Since the splatter is all sold out I'll probably just wait and hope that the vinyl pops up on Amazon. Don't wanna pay for shipping if I don't have to.

 

I like that I said "I am more excited for this than Brand New" and then immediately proceeded to forgot about everything that isn't Brand New once things started happening, haha.

I still ultimately stand by what I said, though.

Oh is that it? Every time I pre-order vinyl I always get hit with like a $12 shipping charge. Still I'll probably wait and see how much it is on Amazon. If I'm paying $100 a year for free 2 day shipping, I wanna get my money's worth lol

 

Brand New is more exciting because its so immediate but Im 100% convinced this will be better

 

Yeah Media mail only came to $4, I was surprised

I can never justify $100 for Prime. And it sucks because now they're doing exclusive deals, like they have (/had) the new Jason Isbell record for $12 but you have to be a Prime member

I really can't get over the new song. She really nailed it.

 

Been playing the new song pretty much on repeat since I heard it dropped (in between playing the new BN album, of course). Absolutely-fucking love it. So excited for the album.

This day has been crazy

 

Yep. The two things I could possibly anticipate the most in music at this point in my life are Julien Baker and Brand New. One got announced today, the other got released.

 

Exactly the same. This week just feels like about five years worth of goodness all stuffed in to three days. I'm so happy.

 

These last couple of months have been insane. We're getting The National, Grizzly Bear, Julien, Phoebe Bridgers, Noah Gundersen, David Ramirez, possibly new Bon Iver. It's honestly a little stressful haha

 

HOW THE HELL DOES @Craig Ismaili NOT HAVE A SINGLE GOD DAMN POST IN HERE YET.

 

Appointments sounds better than the debut in almost every way, from a production standpoint. This will be a top five for sure.

 

I agree. Not just production wise though. It's hard to explain because I really love Sprained Ankle. I just think this sounds superior in every way. I thought the same thing about Red Door and Funeral Pyre. Her ceiling is sky high and I don't think she's even close yet.
