People find this odd, and I guess I find it odd myself, but I've enjoyed the Annabelle movies moreso than The Conjuring ones. In fact, I personally just couldn't get into The Conjuring flicks.

welp, finished reading IT last night. the ending was truly something else. excited to see how the movie turns out. it just blows my mind how HUGE the story truly is. the scope and timeline..man. i read it and think how it would probably take the majority of my adult life to compose something like that.

I rewatched Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me the other night and even though Lynch isn't strictly considered a horror director, that shit had me terrified and pushed me to download Inland Empire which I've never seen before. Going to dive into it later this week.

yeah salva is a creep and i cant watch his movies anymore (which werent that good)

also Lynch did not do full-blown horror extremely frequently, but he did it enough to display his craft at it far beyond average. horror Lynch may actually be best Lynch

It wasn't that scary for me, but it's just a wonderful film for the genre that has some really great moments. It's more unsettling than scary (in my opinion). It has one of the best scores in a long time.

Just try to go into it without watching any trailers or reading about it.

the opening of it follows is one of my favorites possibly ever, but the movie itself doesn't do a ton for me. definitely worth watching though.

what's last podcast on the left like? worth listening to?

It Follows had a constant feeling of tension, always looking out for who may be coming for the kid. I loved it. The premise plus the excellent cinematography just made for a fun movie watching experience. It's a great horror film.

  18. Definitely worth listening to imo, the hosts can take some getting used to as their sense of humor is pretty crude/unrestrained but the information they present is the best and most thorough I've heard of any true crime/paranormal podcast

one of the strongest horror films that approaches the genre like the golden year films (in terms of what it's about and how it builds suspense and scares)

  20. Ok guys, you have convinced me to go watch It Follows. I'll report back after I watch it !

The greatest thing about It Follows is that it makes the mundane/ordinary seem terrifying. Yes, there is some scary imagery in the movie, but the scariest stuff to me was like the old lady walking in the hallway, or the naked woman, or the final shot with character just walking on the sidewalk in the background. None of those things are inherently creepy but within the context of the movie they are incredibly unnerving . Also the score is dope.

You can read IT in two days if you don't really sleep much
I also did that with the unabridged version of The Stand
And also The Shining and Doctor Sleep

what is wrong with me lol

edit: think I'm gonna watch Dolores Claiborne tonight... a horror in some ways.
