Wut. I did not know sheer mag released an album.

 

came out like, a few weeks ago? listened for the first time last night, took me a few songs to really get into it but it rips

sheer mag and downtown boys saving punk music

I feel like this is missing a lot of pieces, mainly between 2009-2014 but still a good read.

 

That would be a killer tour . . .

 

I posted this trolly list to generate discussion and all I got were these lousy insults

 

they've played a bunch of shows together though i don't think they've done a full US tour or anything

 

Looks like they did a couple years ago. Still, they should do it again.

 

Not jumping to any conclusions with this band, but I remember reading/hearing something where Jesse said he wants to make "happier" music. I'm sure it's a well outdated statement as of today, but perhaps rings true given the stage of life that the members of the band are in.

 

Makes me sad, because it's a reminder that the band is done next year

 

I would lose my shit if this ends up being the super poppy album they wanted to make after Deja before they pulled a 180 and did TDAG.

 

Maybe, we'll have to see lol.

 

Just make it sound like the potential they showed in Missing You/1996/Nobody Moves. That's all I ask.

 

The description of IAAN is pretty funny. I like the song a lot, but I know many others don't:

 

I hate to be the “bug is a feature” guy but I kinda love that they presented it with a blank slate and asked fans to trust them. Hopefully they don’t release any singles and require a deep dive headfirst into the record knowing next to nothing.

 

That'd be cool. And I know people are hungry for info, but I'm fine with the way they did it. For a band of their popularity level, 5000 copies of a $45 record aren't really for people who need to hear a single first, you know?

 

I'd be fine with no singles prior to it!
